Today’s Bicycle Ride – 10 miles
Nice slow recreational kind of bike ride.
- Nice little hill on the detour threw MacMansionville.
- Nick and Davina
- The original path of the trail.
Nice slow recreational kind of bike ride.
Rode to the end of the trail and back. The climb in that direction is starting to get an little bit easier.
Got back on the bicycle after being out of town for a week. Barely got the ride in between rain storms. It’s been raining all day.
The ride was slow and easy – which is probably the pace that I will need to have to ride a full 100 Km next month.
Because of the rain, the creek had overflowed onto the trail. It wasn’t too bad, it just made the ride a bit more interesting.

Continued the training for my Tour de Cure ride next month. (you can donate by clicking here). I didn’t ride very far but I tried to keep my speed up. I managed to keep my average at 13 mph. Not fast, but faster than I usually ride. The weather was perfect (thankfully no 30 mph wind like last weekend) and the trail has turned very green – almost blindingly green.
Only 11 miles but this was the hardest ride so far this year. Most of the ride was uphill and into a 20 – 30 mph wind. There were times when MotionGPS on my iPhone thought I had stopped because I was going so slow. Other than the wind, the weather was pretty nice, although a bit chilly for May.
I’m beat. The first 20 miles was with the wind at my back. The last 10 with the wind in my face.
It was a nice day so instead of going to the gym and working out on the elliptical, I decided to ride the bicycle.
